Chris Barclay Glass Pen — Each One Unique

A real, working pen in hand-blown glass — a standard Bic refill lives inside, so it writes for years and refills in seconds. Built at the torch by Chris Barclay (@barclaysglassblowingstudio_), twenty years of glassblowing, working out of HighTide in Santa Barbara.

Plain — 6 to 7 inches. Two are inside-out color line work, two are inside-out frit, and all four are finished with silver fuming, which is why the clear glass carries that shift of gold and blue where the light catches it. The four in the photos are the four available, and no two are alike.

Sculpted — the same pen with a figure worked onto the barrel. On the shelf right now: two octopus and two sea turtles, the two in the last photos. Chris makes them in small numbers and the subjects change, so what is here is what there is.
