Questions
The questions we get asked most, answered plainly. If yours is not here, call the gallery on (805) 845-2924 or just come in — we are at 334 Anacapa St #1, open 10 to 8 every day.
Do you repair broken glass?
Yes. We do borosilicate glass repair in our studio at the gallery — it is one of the main things we do besides making new work. Bring the piece in completely clean ready for surgery and we will tell you honestly what can be done with it. We are at 334 Anacapa St #1, open every day 10 to 8.
Do you teach glass blowing lessons?
Yes — we teach at the torch right in the gallery, and no experience is needed. Sessions are small, two students at most, so you are working with an instructor the whole time instead of watching from the back of a room. The three classes are on the site, and you can pick a time when you book.
Is the glass made there, or do you buy it in?
Most of it we make. More than 80% of the glass on our shelves is made by Wil, his friends in the industry, and the artists working alongside him, here on Anacapa Street. Every one-of-a-kind piece is made by hand, and when it sells it does not come back.
Can you watch the artists work?
Yes. We keep an open studio, so you are welcome to come in and watch us work. No charge, no appointment — we are open 10 to 8 every day, and if you catch someone at the torch, that is the best time to be here.
Do you sell Pokémon cards?
Yes — sealed Pokémon on the shelf, alongside the rest of the collectibles: vintage t-shirts, VHS tapes, PS2 and Sega Genesis games, posters and NeeDohs. What we have changes as things come and go, so it is worth a look when you are in.
Do you sell plants?
We do — live plants and cacti, and we propagate them here in the shop. It surprises people. They are in among the art at 334 Anacapa St #1.
Do you take on custom work?
Yes. Come in and talk it through with Wil or Skelly at the gallery — custom work goes better when he can hear what you are actually after and show you what is possible. We are open 10 to 8 daily.
Do you sell tobacco or nicotine products?
No — we do not carry tobacco or nicotine products of any kind. We are an artist-owned gallery: glass made in-house, work by local artists, collectibles and plants.
Is the shop dog friendly?
Yes. Clancy, our golden doodle, is usually here — we tell people she is the owner. Well-behaved dogs are always welcome.
Do you deliver in Santa Barbara?
Yes, we offer local delivery within Santa Barbara. Ask us about it in the gallery and we will sort out the details.
Where do you park?
There is street parking around us on Anacapa, and a public lot one block away at the corner of State and Gutierrez with the first 75 minutes free. We are at 334 Anacapa St #1 — an easy walk from either.
